Look no further than Hampton Physical Therapy!

Time flies when you’re having fun, and it’s crazy to think that 2 years ago, I was looking for a job and interviewing at several physical therapy locations in the seacoast. As a student, I had done one of my clinical rotations at Hampton PT and had the opportunity to watch and learn from Dylan Chisholm in Hampton. As a student, you go on 4 different clinicals, and during my time at Hampton Physical Therapy, I was able to learn so much and see what made Hampton Physical Therapy such a great place to work. After my interviews, I knew there was a clear choice, and that choice was Hampton PT. Let me tell you a few reasons why I chose Hampton PT to be my first employer.

Before I made any decisions, I knew that I wanted to check out the different locations and get a feel of what the working environment would look like. I was able to talk to all the clinic managers, Kate, Dylan, and Lisa, and ask them questions. Each clinic had a welcoming atmosphere and a close-knit environment among coworkers, which became a reality when I started working for Hampton PT.

I would like to talk about the amazing co-workers that I have the pleasure of working with every day. I’ll start off with Lisa Wheldon, who has been an amazing source of mentorship. Any clinical questions I have, Lisa is more than happy to answer and share with me based on her 12 years of experience. I have also had the pleasure to work alongside Kendra Lajoie, who always brings the sunshine. Kendra also has a great background of knowledge, and I have been able to bounce questions off her, and she never fails to brighten up the clinic with her energy. The front office staff, Amanda and Stefanie, are always great, and I need to give them a shout-out for all their great work. Lastly, how can I forget about one of our newest additions, Michelle, who has also brought an abundance of knowledge and is a great resource with her decades of experience. Thank you to all my co-workers who have made my time at Hampton PT amazing. The people around you indeed make or break your experience at work and my time and Hampton PT has been nothing but amazing.

You can’t talk about Hampton PT without talking about our owner, Dr. Kate Serodio. Kate has been an approachable and understanding boss that never fails to offer support and advice when needed. She is open to any concerns you may have and will work with you to ensure your schedule fits you, all the while ensuring a supportive and positive work environment. At Hampton PT we have regular staff meetings, which are a great opportunity to collaborate with fellow clinicians and voice any concerns. These work to strengthen our relationships at the clinic, and I am grateful for all of the amazing people I work with. The people around you indeed make or break your experience at work and my time at Hampton PT has been nothing but amazing.

Small company with big company benefits. Hampton PT is privately owned within the partnership program with Pinnacle Rehab Network, which allows us to have an abundance of incredible benefits that wouldn’t normally be offered. Not only health insurance but also dental and vision, HSA, 401k, and Roth IRA match. Pinnacle matches your contribution into your 401 (k) and Roth IRA, which makes a very big difference and helps you invest in your future.

Continuing education credit. As a physical therapist, you need to complete continuing education, and in my first year alone, I was able to get fully certified in Dry Needling (upper and lower extremities) and Spinal Manipulation. I was able to do this at no cost to me, thanks to Kate and Pinnacle’s continuing education bonus.

Student loan reimbursement. Coming out of PT school, you have many student loans that can become a burden. However, Pinnacle offers student loan reimbursement, which has been a very big help for me when working on paying off my student loans.

Clinical Pathways. Another great benefit is the clinical pathways. This is an incentive to further your knowledge and education. When you get a new certification, you also get a bonus rewarding you for your hard work and dedication to expanding your skills. As you expand your skills, this opens many opportunities to grow in your professional career, whether you start to take students, become a clinic manager, or even a partner.

It is for these reasons and more that I am so happy with my decision to start my career at Hampton Physical Therapy. I am grateful for everything both Kate and Pinnacle have offered me as a new grad to support me in my career growth. This opportunity is hard to pass up, but if you’re still questioning whether Hampton PT is a good fit for you, feel free to reach out with any questions!
